2026 Primary candidates
The 2026 Primary Election will be held on June 2, 2026. Voters will chose who the Democratic Party nominees will be for the 2026 General Election on November 4, 2026.
The Story County Democrats do not endorse primary candidates. Their campaigns are run by the candidates’ committees, not the Story County Democrats or the Iowa Democratic Party. Anyone can seek the Democratic Party nomination by filing the appropriate paperwork.
Additional candidates will be added as they make official announcements and file Statements of Candidacy.
