The Odd Year Caucus is an opportunity to fill vacancies on the County Central Committee. Every Precinct is allowed 2 Precinct Chairs and 2 Alternates to represent them on the Central Committee. To run for a Precinct Chair position you must be a registered Democrat and registered to vote in that precinct. You may self-nominate yourself during the meeting. Immediately following the Odd Year Caucus, we will hold our Biennial Organizing Meeting. At this meeting we will elect our Constitutional Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) and Chairs of our Standing Committees. The names of those currently holding these positions and list of the committees can be found here-https://www.storydems.org/members

To run for any position, you may self-nominate yourself during the meeting. Nominees will be given time to address the attendees.

All caucuses, conventions, committees and Democratic Party Officials shall take such practical steps as may be within their legitimate power to assure that all caucuses conventions and committees shall include: men, women, various age groups, racial minority groups, economic groups, and representatives of identifiable geographically defined populations- all in reasonable relationship to the proportions in which the the groups are found in populations of respective constituencies. In the spirit of the above all caucuses, conventions and committees will also endeavor to include citizens of all national origins, ethnic identities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and disabilities.

The Rules Committee Chair conducts the elections of County Chair, County Vice Chair, County Secretary, Country Treasurer, and Standing Committee Chairs

Elected officials, candidates, or surrogates are allowed a brief time to address the group
