Kelly Winfrey, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and faculty with the Leadership Studies Program, will present, "The Power of Women in Politics" on March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Ames Public Library auditorium. Winfrey, author of the upcoming book, "Understanding How Women Vote: Gender Identity and Political Choices," will discuss the psychological and sociological reasons for the gender gap in American politics.

Free and open to the public.
