INFO:  The book - “The Uprising” by David Sirota
       FACILITATOR:  Eric Fralick
       David Sirota, journalist, historian and organizer, Senior Fellow at
       the Campaign for America’s Future and founder of the Progressive
       States Network, Sirota offers stories of activists for the new
       populism, right and left, that has been such a factor in the last
       two elections and is scaring the pants off Wall Street and
       Washington.  When this book was published late last summer, some
       critics dismissed it as fanciful.  After the last six months it is
       easier to see that something is going on.  People are standing up
       for themselves, not just out of idealism but because they realize
       they have no choice. 
       If time permits, there will also be a brief presentation of the
       book “Dixie Betrayed:  How the South Really Lost the Civil War” by
       David Eicher.
