DEMOCRATS HONOR RETIRING SUPERVISOR JANE HALLIBURTON

Story County Supervisor Jane Halliburton was honored for her 24 years of service on the county board at a fall barbecue in Ames Saturday (Sept 4).

Halliburton is retiring at the end of the year.

First Lady Mari Culver, State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald and Secretary of State Michael Mauro spoke to a group of 140 Democrats who attended the barbecue, which was also a fundraiser for Democratic candidates running for county offices. The event took place at the Izaak Walton League Lodge on Stagecoach Road in Ames.
